Quick Guides For Completing Dragon Slayer Quest In Runescape !

Dragon Slayer is widely regarded as the most difficult free-player quest available in RuneScape. It is usually the last quest that free players embark upon, and upon successful completion, players may equip the ultimate free-to-play Melee and Ranged body armours: the rune platebody and green dragonhide body. It was also the last quest in RuneScape to be released before the addition of membership.

Dragon Slayer quest is Ok so you've probably started playingra a couple months or so ago and you were really trying for that awesome looking cool armor called rune. Well you just now got your 40 defense! Congratulations you can wear rune! Oh wait no you can't cause you haven't done dragon slayer yet… well that sucks cause that quest is a pain in the ass my friends, took me like a week, but since I'm cool you don't have to go through all that. First I'm going to give you a list of items, now go get them!

Required Items:

1. 5000 gp
2. Three planks
3. 90 steel nails
4. A hammer
5. An unfired bowl
6. A Wizard's mind bomb
7. A crayfish cage or lobster pot
8. A piece of silk
9. An anti-dragon shield
10. some awesome weapon to kill Elvarg with (has to be one handed due to the fact you must use a shield)
11. Armor
12. One (1) Law rune and one (1) Air rune or 10,000 coins if you don't possess 33 Magic

So now you got what you need (everything highlighted can be bought at the GE) kind of an expensive quest huh?

To start off you have to go talk to the guy in the champion's guild (you have to have a certain amount of quest points). Tell him you're looking for a quest and he'll tell you to go to Oziach. That guy lives in Edgeville, so head on up there and talk to him. He will tell you to slay the dragon of crandor if you want to wear rune. Kind of a jerk move for only mildly good armor. Go back to the guy in the champion's guild and talk to him about everything, just make sure to talk about everything possible, 3 map pieces, a key, and stuff like that. Once you have talked with him grab all your stuff because we're on the move!

GO TO LUMBY, talk to the duke and talk about protection from dragon fire, he will give you a shield. Keep it!

NOW GO TO MELZARS MAZE, it's on your map people, get in there with the key the guy from the champions guild gave you. Walk in and follow these steps.

1. Kill a medium sized zombie rat (the rat with a long tail, or the giant rat) until it drops the red key. Use this on the north-west door, and then go up the ladder.
2. The orange key is dropped by ghosts. You must kill the ghost that wears the striped shirt, then go through the middle door, second from the north, on the east wall and climb the ladder.
3. Kill the skeleton with the small round buckler which drops the yellow key (not the skeleton with the square shield or no shield). Use the key on the south-west door and keep climbing down until you get to the zombies.
4. Kill zombies who wield swords until you get a blue key. Use it on the south-west door.
5. You must now fight Melzar. When killed he drops the magenta key. Use this key on the magenta colored door. Pretty obvious.
6. Now you have to fight a lesser demon, which drops the final green key you need.

 Once you're done with your maze open the chest and get the map piece. Get out through the escape ladder.

Ok now head north of the dwarf mines, there's a mountain with a blue person on top, talk to him or her, I'm never really sure… anyway they read you a gay poem, then go beneath the mountain to the caves and look for the magic room, it's pretty obvious, then take,

1. An unfired bowl
2. A Wizard's mind bomb
3. A crayfish cage or lobster pot
4. A piece of silk

Remember the stuff from earlier, and use it with the door, it lets you in and you get a map piece

ok the last map piece, run over to the goblin camp north of Falador, talk to the general and he tells you a goblin in the port Sarim jail has it, so run on over there and kill him, use tele grab to get the map that he drops

Now you have all the map pieces!

now you need a ship walk to the port and buy the little ship from one of the port people, the guy selling it is pretty easy to find, buy it from him for 2k, take the planks and nails, climb down the ladder and fix the hole! Fairly simple.

Once you have a working ship talk to Ned in Draynor village, convince him to take you to crandor.

so there's a whole gay movie clip where you watch some guy die, then you move right into the island where you have to run down the center of the volcano and hop into the dragons arena, you may also realize this place looks a lot like karamjas volcano, that cause it is, yes people they are connected.

Anyway hop into that arena and kick that dragons ass, oh a few things to remember, always have that shield attached, have a bunch of lobsters, stalk up on them before you go, and remember your fighting a level 83 dragon, if you had a hard time with the lesser demon, you should probably level up a little.
