You may not know this, but back around the early to mid-80s, we really saw an increase in powerful messages helping the subconscious mind. Most of them dealt with anti-drug slogans and commercials that were just about everywhere. However, there was one that said, 'The mind is a terrible thing to waste.' Well, they couldn't have brought more right.
The truth is that we must prevent any aspect in our lives that caters to the sin of wasting our mind power. The practice should be that we endeavor to use the power of the mind in all possible ways imaginable and this will really bring a change in our lives and that too in a massive way. We can accomplish all that we want in our lives by putting the mind to good use.
Touching on this 'power of mind' idea is the 'The Secret'. Millions have bought the book, more than that have watched the movie, and by now, the Internet is flooded with people trying to get you to believe in the Law of Attraction, which is that principle laid bare.
The goal behind it is to help you understand that we can all manipulate our minds into creating reality by using the power of mind. In fact, some people have even blamed their subconscious mind on negative actions hoping it would lighten their sentences in a court room.
In scientific studies, this is sometimes called the observer effect, or the Placebo Effect. More plausibly, it's that keeping a good mental attitude and a solid set of goals in mind keeps you mentally prepared to take advantage of opportunities you'd've overlooked before. Opportunism is one of the great defining characteristics of successful people.
When the case study is researched, they test the minds ability to overcome ailments even if they aren't actually taking any medication. On the flipside, they also observe whether or not a person can make themselves sick just by believing they're already suffering. Some individuals would simply call this a coincidence.
Listen, everything happens for a reason and there is no such thing as coincidences. We believe this word was made up by someone who believes in luck instead of determination, or just doesn't think that everything happens for a reason.
This is because the Law of Attraction and your own negative attitude are pulling bad experiences to you.
Correlation is not causation, though there are a lot of people who try to link the Law of Attraction to some quantum mechanical effect. Going too far down this line will make your head hurt, either from the quantum mechanics or from the way the terminology is being misused. Ultimately, this drives into solipsism if you look at it too deeply, and that's not what the Law of Attraction is about.
Many scientists now believe that many things which we think of as supernatural are in fact explainable through hard science, although we're only beginning to understand just how it is that telepathy, ESP and other mental phenomena work.
Even though many of us believe this to be phony television, it's actually part of the quantum physics theory. In short, nothing is solid and instead energy that is created by our minds.
The Law of Attraction works whether you want it to or not. So focus on using it to change your life for the better. That means thinking carefully about your attitudes, planning ahead, and otherwise living a life of contemplation and consequence.
In fact if we really try it is quite easy to harness the power of the mind for a better life. This is the way to do it.
The Law of Attraction is all about goal visualization. You need to define a concrete, clear goal. Don't wish for a lot of money - set a goal aside for a certain amount of money, and set reachable, achievable daily goals. Next, try to direct every mental action you take towards achieving that goal.
Learning to focus is the key here; most of the time, you may have dozens of different thoughts going on at once. You must however be consistent and keep going.
Many people already know about the power of the mind and use it every day to make their goals a reality. They are able to decide on a specific goal and put all of their mind power towards this objective - and this is exactly how some of the world's most successful people have managed to become who they are today. It's not difficult to do, though learning to focus your mind on your goal does take a little metal training.
Just think if you could influence your mind to quit smoking, lose weight, make more money, or buy that dream home. They are all great things to think about right? Sure, but don't let it stop with self-improvement. Obviously you're going to have to organize your life a little, but with constant affirmation it will keep you motivated throughout the entire process.
By learning to control the power of the mind, you can gain the ability to influence the world around you and achieve just about anything you'd like. Suppose that you want a new home. You spend a lot of time thinking about it in great detail, going so far as to visualize how you'll cultivate the back yard and the colors you'll paint every room in the house.
Every day you start out with a list of tasks that will bring you closer to your dream of home ownership. You plan it, you think about color schemes and landscaping. Eventually, this will boost your performance at work; it'll encourage you to save, or to cut back your credit card debt.
Then as if by magic your dream home comes onto the market at a price you can afford. Somehow everything just comes together and it is yours! So everything you did, all of the energy that you directed at getting that house has paid off.
All you have to do is put your mind to it. Once you train it to change your life for the better, it will actually start happening. The only question is whether or not you're ready to make that leap.
