Charles Darwin Evolution Depends On The Fossil Record

Charles Darwin admitted that his theory of evolution depends on the fossil record. He also acknowledged that, if the fossils did not end up supporting his ideas, the theory of evolution was absolutely no good.

Most of us have been taught that the theory of evolution is backed up by the fossil record. But is the ‘scientific' theory of evolution really scientific?

We have been shown the ‘path' of evolution in fossil form since we were in grade school. There is no reason to doubt the theory and even the course that it has taken… until the last few years.

Evolution is the slow change (all by accidents) of various forms of life into new forms of life.

The one thing that is not argued is whether change has taken place. No one would dispute that fact. But small amounts of change have nothing to do with evolution (these small changes are often referred to as micro evolution)… unless the change can produce some kind of new creature.

There are many changes in the canine group of creatures, for instance. There can be enormous differences in these creatures. But dogs are still dogs and there has been no evolution… unless they change into another creature.

If dogs had changed into horses, for instance (if that was one of the paths of evolution) then that would be true evolution.

Darwin himself knew that the fossil evidence was missing to show that any kind of creature had evolved into another kind of creature. The intermediate fossils (fossils that would be the ‘in-between fossils) simply did not exist to show that evolution had occurred. His greatest assumption was that these fossils would be found (or else he knew that his theory was useless).

Unfortunately, for those that believe in the theory, not one verifiable intermediate fossil has ever been discovered. Most evolutionists are well aware of this, although most teachers, professors and students are not.

Evolutionist professors, teachers, magazines textbooks etc. often make statements that assume that the fossil evidence does support the theory. This is simply based on outdated information that they have learned in school, magazines, nature shows etc.

There is no history of evolution. There is certainly no evolution taking place today. Without the fossil record to support the theory, there is nothing left to give credence to the theory. Yes, Darwin himself would have to admit that the most important assumption of his theory was simply wide of the mark today.

Charles Darwin did admit that his theory of evolution depends on the fossil record. He would be astounded at what the scientific evidence shows today. In fact many evolutionists admit that the fossil record supports the idea of special creation much better than the theory of evolution.

Oxford zoologist, Dr. Mark Ridley summarized the problem this way, "In any case, no real evolutionist … uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of the theory of evolution as opposed to special creation".

It is time to remove the word ‘scientific' from the ‘scientific theory of evolution'. It is now simply a theory that is missing a very crucial component to give it validity.
