The Half Blood Prince Craze is on Wii and Lego
The fast release of the Harry Potter movies made everyone scream; the coming of the Play station games raised the scream levels higher. Now we have the Nintendo WII games to boast about. Nintendo has been faithful in releasing video games that put the fans right at the heart of Hogwarts battling Voldemort and the league of Death Eaters.
The new Harry Potter WII game brings the action of the latest Hogwarts adventure to us; Harry Potter and the half blood prince. The Nintendo game is pretty much like the previous WII games for Harry Potter and this one completes the Potter sequel just like in the movies. If you have watched all the movies, you will notice the striking similarities between the games and the flicks. Watching the Half Blood Prince movie also gives you a better footage on how to maneuver through the game.
Nintendo in conjunction with EA sports have promised the same action in this Harry Potter WII game just like in the rest. We can say that this one is even more exciting since Harry Potter has a new problem to face besides Voldemort and Death Eaters; Teenage hood. Harry Potter is at his 6th year in Hogwarts at the same time when teenage hood is creeping in. Slowly he begins to give in to the demands of love and we can't wait and see how this affects his prime year at Hogwarts.
But outside this, Harry Potter WII delivers highly on graphics and motion controls which work quite well as you transition from the Muggle world to the wizard world. The normal excitement of the Potter world is still maintained; from pulse raising Wizard duels to the competitiveness of Quidditch. There are new spells to be mastered to be ahead of the game; Petrificus Totalus and Levicorpus. You need to master these moves at the beginning of the game to help you conquer the Death eaters at the end. The connection between the skills learnt at the beginning to the last battle against Death eaters just does it in raising the ecstatic levels on gamers. By the way, you will also need to learn the Expelliarmus move pretty well if you want an upper hand against the death eaters.
The greater challenge of the Harry Potter WII game is the portion section. You'll need great skill to execute successful portions to win extra points. Some portions in the game need quick action to make them work and this challenge is enough to keep you tuned in for the next action till the end of the storyline. What fans are thinking of the new Harry Potter WII game is that the storyline is a bit rusty. However this is compensated by the endless explore options you have on the Hogwarts grounds.
In this Harry Potter WII edition, you have a full access to the Hogwarts schools; this involves engaging in frantic searches to gain hidden treasure to earn points or to take you to the next plot of the storyline. The advantage of exploring the whole Hogwarts ground is in itself a satisfying venture. Other than this, the series of blood cuddling battles with Death Eaters intensifies to give you a whole new gaming experience. This time round you will need to learn the battle spells fast; especially the Expelliarmus which holds the opponents long enough for you to perform a freezing spell on them.
As usual new characters are in the house; the latest arrival in the Harry Potter WII world is a 'Defense against Dark arts' teacher who knows something about Voldemort that could be the final solution of destroying the Dark Lord for good. Besides this, we have other interesting plots like Draco Malfoy threatening to join the Death Eaters league and the sudden Demise of Dumbledore from the top towers of Hogwarts.
This new WII addition for the last Harry Porter movie is a bit complex to master and young kids could probably have a struggle with it. But the solution is already offered by EA sports and Nintendo; the Harry Potter Lego edition for kids.
The Harry Potter Lego version is much more simplified and delivers the whole Half blood prince storyline in tot language. Nevertheless the fun is all the same in both worlds; but you have to really read the book before you venture into the WII version. The Harry Porter Nintendo game is just a cut out of the main actions from the book. So you really need to be in touch with the book to understand the spells and also the reason for every move in the game. Other than that, the Half Blood Prince WII edition will complete the Harry Porter story in a way you've never imagined; from the heated wizard battle to the mind boggling magic portions, you won't be returning to the Muggle world anytime soon.
