This is Rosie, Dar's roommate/mistress and ruler of the roost.  Rosie is an orange-crested Moluccan cockatoo--her breed originates from Australia. 
 
Rosie is the official mascot of our group. Instead of letting her lollygag around on her perch all day and shoot bird seed and cocka-doo all over the floor, we put Rosie to work writing and sending our band update newsletter, the ROSIEGRAM.  It's only fair she should do something to earn her sunflower seeds!

Rosie has quite a personality.  If Dar doesn't get home on time, she gets very cranky and will 
mutter and screech at him.  Don't try to talk to him on the phone then, because all you will hear is Rosie.  If she gets the attention she craves, she's very lovable and cuddly (and much quieter!!)

Rosie can talk and her favorite expression is "Sprocken de rocken" -- we haven't figured out
what that means yet!
