My Review
First of all, it never fails that I am disappointed by the reviews of those who are afraid to get out there and try a technique that is pure and prop-free and who must always have an "out" for their mentalism or hypnosis. This is a true waking hypnosis routine, the "out" being that you do not force this trick on others, but rather you must search out the proper participant who easily follows your suggestions. This is professional material!
However this routine requires absolutely no dual reality and it is REAL unlike the other effects. The effect on the participant is completely different, in Mind Eraser, the participant actually forgets the information, in the two routines (Sankey, and Jermay) the participant has doubts in his mind as to whether or not he forgot anything, but the dual reality is used as a convincer with the aid of the spectators. I have used all three routines, they all work, but Mind Eraser provides the biggest rush for me and for my spectators and uses absolutely no props (unless you want to use cards) and no sleight of hand. I feel that some very valuable information is tipped on the CD in regards to building confidence, using suggestability tests, and how to approach a group of people.

Anyone who has an interest in learning the concepts pertaining to hypnosis should find Mind Eraser of extreme value. As a long time practicioner of hypnosis and mentalism, I personally found some useable ideas that I feel are worth more than the asking price to any real worker. Joe certainly has put in the work on evolving the script and he understands (and explains) the psychology that make this routine work, and it DOES work, I can testify to that. Not only has Joe provided us with the "how" and the "for whom", but Jay makes sure that we understand the "why" and the "where" making this a perfect effect for those who want to gain some insight into the performance of waking hypnosis or hypnosis in general. Don't forget what I've said, and remember this is very good CD!
