How To Improve Your Memory Skills
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have the gift of being able to remember facts and figures and people's names? Is it a talent that some people are born with or is it something that anyone can learn? I believe that everything you have ever done or seen was recorded in your mind but being able to recall those events is something that can be done by people to a varying degree.
However I do believe that it is possible for any person to learn how to remember facts, figures and people's names easily. There are many programs and courses that have been developed to teach these methods to everyone and this is how to improve your memory skills.
If you are a student in high school or college then your success your studies depends to a large degree on memorizing facts and figures and if you are good at that you will have no difficulty passing your tests and final examinations, but if you have difficulty remembering them, you can probably expect to get poor grades or even flunk out.
When I was in school I used to worry every night before a test that I wouldn't remember anything, does that happen to you?
You sit and go over the material over and over again and hope that you will be able to remember it when you take the test.
I found that sometimes I was able to remember it and then other times it just wouldn't come to me, does that happen to you?
If a memory skills course were to be successful it would teach you a way to remember the material easily and with certainty so that you knew that you knew it and you wouldn't have to worry about forgetting it. Also it would drastically cut down your study time and you would remember it long after the test was over.
Here is a simple tip for remembering people's names, try it for a few weeks and see for yourself what a difference it can make.
Whenever you meet someone for the first time, do this; look them in the eyes and repeat their name as you shake their hand make a mental picture of something associated with their name.
For example if you were being introduced to Robert Hill get a picture of this person robbing a till, visualize him behind a store counter taking money out of the cash register with a huge bag on his shoulder with the word "loot" just like in the cartoons. I'll bet you would never forget his name. Admittedly that was an easy name to make a picture of, but if the name is too difficult you can still picture him doing something strange, the more ridiculous the easier it will be for you to remember his name in the future.
This is the basis of association technique but there is much more to learn.
There is a memory skills course that will teach you all this and more (I wish I had done it when I was struggling with my school work).
I hope you will take a few minutes to read the secrets to a better memory and better grades. I am very pleased to be able to recommend this course on my site http://hearabook.com/how-to-get-a-better-memory.
