Rhode Island: Infiniti QX as safe as driving in a bubble

Rhode Island: Infiniti QX drivers may receive criticism from time to time.  In a world that has become obsessed with driving vehicles as small as washing machines whenever possible, a large SUV like the Infiniti QX may cause some self-proclaimed tree huggers to turn up their noses and question who that driver thinks he or she is.  But there may be more to driving a QX than the assumed attitude of QX drivers of, "I can drive whatever size of vehicle I please" thought to be the only explanation by said tree huggers.  In fact, alternative reasoning may play a much larger role than tree huggers give credit for and might even change the tree huggers' opinions too.

Attitudes have changed drastically from the mid-nineties to the early years of the 21st century where it was readily acceptable for anyone to drive a large SUV.  It was not uncommon to know of a single owning an SUV.  This practice was admittedly a little overboard and has for the large part changed.  However, back then and today, many consumers drove an SUV because they have a family large enough that a big car is a necessity.  Being able to fit your entire family into one vehicle is hardly a selfish act and thus, justifies driving a large SUV if you have multiple children.

But there is another fact that even further justifies the existence of these large vehicles on our roadways – they make them safer.  Yes, not only are families riding inside of an Infiniti QX vehicle safer, but anyone riding in the cars around an Infiniti QX is safer too.  In fact, driving in an Infiniti QX, available at local Rhode Island Infiniti QX and Rhode Island used Infiniti QX dealerships, is almost like driving in a bubble.

To start, the Infiniti QX comes with a whole list of safety features.  Such features include an advanced air bag system with supplemental air bags in places like the driver and front passenger doors, roof air bags with rollover sensor, seat belts with extra protections like Emergency Locking Retractor and Automatic Locking Retractor, and Zone body construction with reinforced crumple zones around driver and passenger seats.

However, these features are just some of the standards.  New technologies, combined with safety features, are what really make the Infiniti QX impressive, and safe.  First, a system known as Blind Spot Warning audibly and visually alerts drivers when vehicles are sitting in the vehicle's blind spots.  Another system called Forward Collision Warning again alerts drivers when a front on crash is likely to occur.  Intelligent Cruise Control allows the vehicle to automatically adjust cruise control settings as needed with surrounding traffic, and Intelligent Brake Assist will automatically apply pressure to the vehicle's brakes in the event the driver is late doing so.  Finally, but certainly not the last of the vehicle's safety features, is the Lane Departure Warning system.  Again, this system will alert the driver if they are drifting into another lane of traffic and will adjust the vehicle's path if the driver fails to quickly enough.

With such incredible safety features, it is much easier to understand why some consumers opt to drive the bigger, yet incredibly safe Infiniti QX SUV.  To test drive a Infiniti QX yourself, visit your local Rhode Island Infiniti QX and Rhode Island used Infiniti QX dealership.  And do not worry if you are a self-proclaimed tree hugger, we won't say a word.  Stop by today.

About the Author

Brian Tavares is a freelance journalist living in Rhode Island. Infiniti QX vehicles, sold by local Rhode Island used Infiniti QX dealerships, have been under Brian's review for the last two months. This time has led Brian to believe that the Infiniti QX is equivalent to driving down the road in a bubble, thanks to all of the safety features included and available on the vehicle. In his spare time, however, Brian likes to live on the wild side.
