As the schools remain closed in most of the European countries during the summer break, many parents choose this time for a family break to the UK and book their ferries to England well in advance to avoid rush. Though there are few major attractions for children in some of the UK family parks like Thorpe Park and Alton Towers but there are still better affordable options or even free activities available in the UK to keep your young kids amused and away from their tantrums.
1) Thurleigh farm and Adventure Play ground in Bedford
Perfect for spending a whole day in farms to enjoy fun and adventure. It has an indoor and outdoor playground, sandpits, pedal cart tractors, trampolines and much more.
2) Heaton park, close to Manchester
